Narsanna Koppula is a pioneering Indian permaculture designer, environmental activist, and educator. He co-founded Aranya Agricultural Alternatives in 1999 with his wife, Padma Koppula. The organization promotes sustainable agriculture and permaculture practices across India, impacting over 250,000 farmers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

In 1996, Dr. Deb resigned from his position at WWF-India to focus on conserving traditional rice varieties, which were rapidly disappearing due to the Green Revolution’s emphasis on high-yield hybrids. He established Basudha, a 1.7-acre farm in Odisha’s Rayagada district, where he cultivates over 1,480 native rice varieties without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides

Claude  Alvares is a distinguished Indian environmentalist, author, and editor based in Goa. He serves as the Director of the Goa Foundation, an environmental monitoring action group renowned for its successful public interest litigation cases aimed at preserving Goa’s natural heritage

Dr. Sultan Ismail is a renowned Indian soil biologist, ecologist, and educator, celebrated for his pioneering work in vermicomposting and sustainable agriculture. He serves as the Managing Director of the Ecoscience Research Foundation (ERF), an organization dedicated to promoting ecological farming practices, soil biology research, and environmental education.
